Helen M. Motter, age 72, of Fletcher passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 
2011 in her residence.
Helen was born on July 29, 1938 in Scioto County, Ohio. She was the daughter 
of the George W. and Julia (Pitts) Gulp. She married Robert Motter on October 
19,1973 and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2008. Helen is survived by 
her son, Larry Rich of Bellefontaine, a granddaughter, Jennifer of Urbana, her 
mother, Julia Gulp of Piqua and four sisters: Darlene (Frank) Jackson of Saint 
Paris, Charlotte (Howard) Cutcher of Sandusky, Wiladene (Raymond) Fraley of 
Louisa, KY, and Juanita (John) Banner of Medway, many nieces and nephews. She 
is also survived by two step children: Lisa (Randy) Savage and Robert (Tammy) 
Motter, Jr. both of Dowagiac, Ml, and three step grandchildren, Larisa, Joe, 
and Dylan Wilson all of Dowagiac. In addition to her husband, her father, 
George W. Culpa, preceded her in death. Helen was formerly employed by Sears 
and she also worked for several florists including, Andy's Greenhouse, and 
Murphy's Greenhouse. Her family will sadly miss her. Funeral services will be 
held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main 
Street, Fletcher, Ohio. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
