Josephine Kiser, 81, of Bradford, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday Jan. 12, 2006, in 
the Covington Care Center.
She was born May 3, 1924, in Casstown, to the late Merle and Eva (Shank) 
Tamplin. She married Roger Lee Kiser on March 12,1948, in Piqua, and he 
survives. She also is survived by three children, Loretta (William) Houser of 
Bradford, Charles (Victoria) Kiser of Troy, and Cindy (Rick) DeNise of 
Houston; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and 
sisters: Margaret Tilton of Piqua, Goldie (Dick) Herron of Minster, June 
(Herb) Stump of West Valley, Utah, Eileen (Tom) Levering of Greenville, Dean 
(Lurena) Tamplin of Piqua, Robert Tamplin of Tacoma, Wash, and Harold Tamplin 
of Riverton, Utah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a 
sister, Shirley Ferman and two brothers, Marvin and Darel Tamplin.
Josephine attended Springcreek, Fletcher, Port Jefferson and Sidney Schools. 
She was a homemaker, a 37-year member and past president of the Piqua Chapter 
No. 394 Women of the Moose and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Covington.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 
201 W. Main St., Fletcher, with the Rev. Thomas Farrier of the Central Baptist 
Church, Piqua, presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery
