Rhoda Jean Dovell, 78, of West Mansfield, mother of Mrs. Larry (Deborah) 
Griffis of DeGraff, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in West Mansfield. She was 
born July 12, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Heber Charles and 
Rhoda Carlin (Smith) Henderson. On May 24, 1953, she married Arthur Lee 
Dovell. He died Aug. 28, 1978. She is survived by two daughters, two 
grandchildren, a stepgranddaughter, two great-grandchildren, and two sisters. 
Mrs. Dovell was a housekeeper at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine. She was a 
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Bellefontaine. 
Graveside services were planned for today at 2 p.m. at Concord Cemetery, 
Concord Township, Champaign County, with Lane Coleman officiating
